In the puzzle world, there’s a little something that every puzzle is supposed to pass called the Breakfast Test. It basically means that if there is a word or phrase that you wouldn’t want to encounter while sitting with your family eating a nice Sunday morning breakfast, it doesn’t belong in a puzzle. Well some of us have 9:00 am classes and don’t have time for breakfast, so we couldn’t care less about the stupid breakfast test. We will put whatever we want in our puzzles, and you will wash it down with a nice swig of OJ, and you will like it.
Across to Bear is a Thursday feature in the Brown Daily Herald featuring crosswords (hence the “Across”) made solely by Brown students (hence the “Bear”) with no affiliation to the Christian faith (it’s just a nonsensical pun). I know what you’re thinking and yes, the name is really stupid. But the puzzles kick ass.
